Parr & Abernathy first opened its doors in 1986 by Elizabeth W. Abernathy and Donald W. Parr. Our team is comprised of long-standing employees and agents that are a direct reflection of how we do business. Our commitment to customer satisfaction creates customers for life. Generations of customers and clients continue to refer friends, neighbors and strangers to our office.

Our firm has been in business for over 30 years with a combined 50 plus years of experience. Shanna Wiseman, our Property Manager, has been in the real estate business since 1996; and has been working as the Property Manager for Parr & Abernathy since June 2000. Our office has been recognized every year by our local association of REALTORS® for our professionalism and work expertise. Shanna was awarded the 2010 Virginia Association of REALTORS® Property Manager of The Year Ann Swearingen Award. Christy Roccaforte has been with us for five years now. Christy’s primary role is to oversee the day to day property maintenance calls, contractors and keeping all parties involved informed. She also acts as support for the day to day operations of the office. Rhonda Poirier joined our team in 2014 as the Assistant Property Manager and focuses primarily on move ins, move outs and routine property inspections. The newest member of our team is Sammi Powell. Sammi serves as a full-time Receptionist/Administrative Assistant.
